Backpack Stuffing

For the past eight years, Cargo for Kids has worked closely with the Independence School District to stuff backpacks for homeless children in the Independence area.  These backpacks contain the supplies needed for the school year as well as essential hygiene items.

 

Thanks to donations and volunteers, Cargo for Kids has provided supplies for over 7,500 backpacks over the eight years, filling 900 for 2017-2018 school year.  For the 2018-2019 school year, we are estimating another 900 homeless students in Independence will need our help!
